Thermo Electron merges with Fisher Scientific, Lancaster Labs’ parent company

A merger between Lancaster Labs’ owner Fisher Scientific International and Thermo Electron took place on November 9th. The new company is called Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. The transforming merger creates the leading provider of products and services in the life, laboratory, and health science industry and the world leader in serving science. Going forward, Lancaster Labs will continue to provide analytical services, retaining its name and company headquarters in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. No substantive changes in management or workforce are expected, and the transition to new ownership will be totally transparent to clients.
