Dr.Bergmann joins Lancaster Labs to manage Viral Safety and Viral Clearance Services

Dr. Kate Bergmann As part of Lancaster Labs’ expanding Biopharmaceutical Group, Kate Bergmann, Ph.D., has joined the company as manager of viral safety and viral clearance services. (See expansion article.) Dr. Bergmann will be working to add viral services at Lancaster Labs. Dr. Bergmann has extensive experience in study design and execution of viral clearance and safety studies and is well known and respected in the industry. Dr. Bergmann comes to Lancaster Labs with more than 23 years experience in research in addition to 14 years of experience in the CRO Biosafety Testing Environment. Prior to joining Lancaster Labs, Dr. Bergmann was manager of Process Evaluation at Charles River Laboratories, where she directed viral clearance studies and coordinated projects involving idiotypic cancer vaccines. Prior to her tenure with Charles River, she was senior scientist in the Department of Testing Services at Primedica Corporation in Rockville, MD. She earned her Ph.D. in biology from Brown University.
