The sale of Lancaster
Labs generated a great deal of interest from a variety of
potential buyers. That it did is a credit to you, our clients,
who have placed your trust in us—in some cases for
35 years or more.
Credit is due also to the private equity firm Goldner Hawn
Johnson & Morrison (GHJM). It has been an excellent
business partner for us over the last five years, helping
us to achieve substantial growth as an organization and
create additional value in the marketplace.
Finally, I credit our new owner, Fisher Scientific International
Inc., for understanding the value of our reputation, the
strengths in our client relationships, and our history of
growth. Since 2000 when GHJM purchased us, our revenues
have grown significantly, and we’re on target to grow
substantially this calendar year. We’ve added services
such as biopharmaceutical testing and Professional Scientific
StaffingSM, and we’re pleased to call the top pharmaceutical
companies in America our clients.
In all of our interactions with Fisher, the company and
its employees have been outstanding. Like us, they are service
oriented and focused on providing customers with high quality
and valuable services. This includes Fisher Clinical Services
in Allentown, which has been a partner and customer.
I got to know and respect Michael A. Ivers, group president
of Fisher BioPharma Services and the person I’ll be
reporting to, during our partnership with Fisher Clinical
Services and the acquisition process. I’m confident
that he and Fisher Scientific International will be excellent
business partners. They value the quality and service we
provide to our clients and will bring us new business ideas
and resources to help us grow and expand. Our lab offers
services that Fisher lacks, so together we can offer a broader
range of outsourcing services for our clients.
I’m looking forward to our association with Fisher
and the support they’ll provide in making us an even
